Summary of Position:


The Junior Accounting Clerk is responsible for a variety of duties and holds a critical position within the Accounting Team. In this position, you will be responsible for bookkeeping and various data entries across portfolio of companies. Accuracy, attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines will contribute to the overall success of the accounting department. The position will be responsible for individual related OKRs.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Complete daily full cycle of accounts payable and receivable duties
  • Complete daily full bank feed duties
  • Complete Bank deposits
  • Complete Bank reconciliations for selected bank accounts
  • Meet and update weekly, monthly retention goals and related OKR’s
  • Assist with preparation of monthly reporting and month end
  • Maintain fixed asset and prepaid schedules
  • Prepare various analysis using excel
  • Assist in completing audit requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to follow repeatable processes to ensure successful resolution of problems

  • Ability to show empathy and patience when interacting with others
  • Proficient in QuickBooks
  • Strong MS Excel abilities
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Strong analytical thinking, data management and administrative skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player and able to work independently

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education
  • Must have minimum 2 years of related accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
  • Must have appropriate transit to attend the office
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Job Type: Full time, Permanent, thirty-six (36) Hours Per Week, 4-day Work Week, $58,000 Annual Base Salary, 5% Bonus, Benefits, 3% Health Care Spending Account, Disability Coverage, Life Insurance, Vacation Accrued, Sick Credits, RRSP matching and more…
