What to expect

As a Junior Product Analyst (CO-OP) at Verto, you will play a key role in product release readiness for one or more of our active projects. Your role in Product will build your knowledge of Verto’s products and product delivery processes. You will be involved in the development of persona-based scenarios, hands-on product testing, creating or updating dashboards to analyze and track progress and supporting our Product Managers as needed throughout the release process. You will also have the opportunity to interact with various internal and external stakeholders in support of requirements gathering, release readiness, process mapping or quality measurement. You will support the success of the team and the product by actively supporting the product management arm at Verto as we introduce new features to the market.

Responsibilities

No two days are ever the same, but here is a sample of some of the work you might do in this role:

Working under the guidance of Product Managers develop and/or update personas and persona use cases
Update, execute and track manual test plans, triaging and reporting defects for resolution
Support QA automated test development by clarifying use cases
Conduct product and/or release related analysis with guidance from the Product team
Working with Product Operations, identify process related issues, develop as-is process maps and process documentation and identify options for improvement.
Analyze user feedback and activity and iterate to enhance the user experience
Conduct research or consult stakeholders and perform analysis to understand user goals. Explain user research results to internal and external stakeholders through presentations or other suitable materials.
Participate in product functionality reviews, release retrospectives and other product release process activities
Assist with content development including product onboarding and learning materials, product release related documentation, internal knowledge transfer documentation or other materials as needed

What's Needed

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

Enrolled in a post-secondary institution degree with a major in Health Informatics or related field
Preferred experience in Healthcare & terminology is an asset
Strong interest in a Start-Up environment
Previous experience and/or knowledge in healthcare industry is an asset
Exposure to data science, data engineering and development
Experience in agile, prototype, and design thinking projects
Excellent communication, presentation and workshop facilitation skills including the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and at varying levels of the organization
Demonstrates organizational skills in day-to-day life (professional, persona, academic)

Relevant skills

Process mapping, using tools such as PowerPoint, Invision or Whimsical
Developing and measuring key performance indicators
Data science experience (i.e. data engineering, predictive modeling, dashboarding
Design tool Knowledge for creating prototypes (i.e. Sketch, Figma, Whimsical)
