Junior Sales Specialist / Engineer

Pertinent Details: Direct Hire career opportunity for a Junior to Intermediate Sales Specialist or Sales Engineer, that is looking for an exciting role with career progression opportunities. This role is a new addition to the Sales team, and a robust training program will be offered. Travel may be required for training purposes and quite possibly as a part of the job (to the Canada and US) so a passport may be necessary.

Location: Windsor, ON

Travel Requirements: Some requirements for travel - but not extensive - must possess a passport and have ability to cross border

Compensation: $60-75K

Job Description:

The Sales Application Specialist/Engineer will generate growth for assigned products by proactively developing new business at existing and potential customers while promoting the value of doing business with our team. The Sales Application Specialist/Engineer will need to develop strong relationships at both the engineering (product development) and commercial (purchasing) levels.

• Develop strong customer relationships through value added marketing/selling
• Understand nuances of target markets and be recognized as an expert.
• Have a strong technical understanding of product offering and manufacturing capabilities.
• Exhibit strong project management skills and entrepreneurial approaches to overcome barriers to successfully sell to new customers and close new opportunities.
• Continuously identify potential new applications, customers, and/or markets.
• Exhibit strong project management skills
• Perform extensive one-on-one marketing
• Selling/presentations at the engineering, purchasing, quality and production management levels
• Become a value-added engineering resource within the organization
• Work with Sales and Customer Service as a team to develop strong business relationships with customers.

Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree, Technical degree or diploma is preferred
• Background or experience in Technical, Automotive, Manufacturing and/or Production would be a definitive asset.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Customer and results oriented.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong persuasion and selling skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Self-driven to meet individual and department goals and objectives
