Laundry Attendant Job at Hyatt Place Calgary Airport
Our growing company is looking to fill the role of laundry attendant. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent.
Responsibilities:
- Sorts all linens and separate and treats all stains.
- Loads dirty linens/towerls into the washer and add specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agent.
- Remove clean, wet linens/towels from the washer and place them successively into the dryers for the measure time cycles.
- Sorts dried linens/towels according to type
- Folds and places items in the appropriate locations
- Handles contaminated linens/towels
- Maintains the inventory of cleaning supplies and linens and ensures the Housekeeping Manager is aware of any inventory needs.
- Maintains all laundry equipment and informs appropriate personnel of any maintenance needs.
- Report any damaged linens/towels/uniforms
Qualifications:
- Ability to endure working in areas of high temperatures with accumulations of lint
- Must be able to exert physical effort, endure various physical movements throughtout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughtout work periods, and satisfactory communicate with guests and co-workers so their understanding
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including morning, evening, weekends and holidays
- Abilitity to assist co-workers with their jobs duties and be a team player
- Must be able to consistently lift, pull and push heavy weights
- Hotel or Laundry experienced preferred, but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $16.25-$17.25 per hour
