Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

Overview:

  • Monitor all import container shipments, follow-up, track and trace, and identify problems and tily resolutions.
  • Monitor, track and trace all outbound shipments to customer sites.
  • Knowledge of Canada and US markets.
  • Provide tracking and load information to clients and drivers.
  • Interact with customers via phone/email; provide shipment status and customs clearance; handle customer complaints, and concerns.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, providing quick turnaround.
  • Build close, strong relationships with all customers, overseas agents and service providers.
  • Enter and update order information into dispatch software.
  • Complete processing of all documents (BOLs and PODs) and upload in TMS and web portal.
  • Confidently problem-solve issues such as missed pick-ups, late deliveries, damaged freight, or incorrect billing.
  • Contact carriers and vendors to obtain pricing on transportation lanes.
  • Execute any other logistics-related tasks as assigned by the direct Manager.
  • Create daily inbound and outbound tracking reports.
  • Be accessible to clients, suppliers, and carriers outside standard office hours.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position, ideally in a 3PL environment.
  • Strong understanding of the intermodal market.
  • Experience working and communicating with CN/CP Portals regularly.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office, PC Miler, and TMS.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures with little to no oversight.

Education:

  • College diploma or equivalent
