GWS has a long history of excellence and innovation building automated specialty machines and manufacturing cells for multinational Automotive Tier One Suppliers around the globe. Continued growth and expansion has created the need to add to our Machine and Tooling Design team.
Machine and Tooling Designer:
As a qualified candidate, you must possess the following skills and experience. We are also willing to accept a student or recent graduate of a technical program.
- Experience using Solidworks 3D
- Proficient in computer software programs and Microsoft applications
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Self Starter, detail orientated, independent thinker and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Able to work across functions to solve design and manufacturing issues
Primary Role Accountabilities:
- Work closely with Customers and GWS Management to turn rough concepts into detailed tooling and/or equipment designs including fabrication details, sourcing of standardized components and creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials
- Development of detailed prints and managing information database
- Ensure designs meet customer specifications while optimizing manufacturing costs and equipment reliability
- Ensure designs, at a minimum, meet industry standards for safety and ergonomic design
- Develop machine testing criteria and support development of maintenance schedules
Rate of pay will be determined based on interview and level of experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $16.00-$24.00 per hour
