Job Responsibilities:


  • Evaluates equipment for modification and/or installation of line changes, and provides engineering support.
  • Assures training of hourly employees on safety, skills, and preventive maintenance.
  • Leads the effective recruitment and selection of team members for department, working closely with HR to ensure consistent process standards
  • Maintains and control inventory of operational supplies and material readiness for all maintenance repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety, quality and HACCP standards while meeting maintenance performance targets.
  • Manages the development of department resources through performance management of direct reports.
  • Ensures effective interactions between maintenance department and internal and external customers.
  • Shares responsibility for maintenance cost performance.
  • Provides guidance for troubleshooting and emergency response activities.
  • Prepares and manages the maintenance and utilities budget
  • Ensures the implantation and adherence to the Maintenance Pillar procedures.
  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives, processes and root cause analysis.
  • Participates in capital project recommendations for department.
  • Manages Housekeeping/5S within area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for accuracy of raw material cycle counts.
  • Responsible for 1 production line.

Required Experience and Education:


  • Post Secondary Degree, with 2-5 years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the bottling industry.

Required Skills and Knowledge:


  • Strong operating skills in organizing, planning and time management, as well as getting work done through others with the ability to manage and measure team members work progress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Bias for action.
  • Solid problem solving and analysis skill set.
  • Working knowledge of computers and office automation tools such as Excel.
