The Opportunity - Maintenance Supervisor

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a keen appetite to grow their Maintenance career in the forest manufacturing industry.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for upholding maintenance practices to ensure the reliability and performance of the plant. As an integral part of the maintenance team, you will provide leadership, training and support to employees and contractors. Through a strong combination of technical knowledge and skills, business acumen and leadership capabilities, you will implement and control all maintenance related programs and procedures. Exercising considerable judgment, integrity and discretion at all times, you will provide support, sound advice and guidance in all maintenance related matters in an effort to ensure a high level of safety, operational, financial and quality performance.

As the successful candidates, you possess a Journeyman (Red Seal) Millwright certification, have relevant experience in an industrial maintenance environment and exhibit solid analytical, problem-solving and trouble shooting skills. With a firm and steadfast commitment to safety, you demonstrate strong and effective communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate and work cooperatively within your immediate team and across the organization. You demonstrate a high level of professionalism and an ability to contribute to a positive culture based on mutual trust and respect while delivering results. Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, familiarity with MS Office software and experience with mentoring and training individuals are considered assets.

Shifts may vary for this position (Days, Afternoons, Graveyards or Weekends), however, opportunities exist for flexibility within the operational schedule.
