We are currently looking for a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).

The role:

This FP&A position is responsible for the accounting to reporting cycle, including managing the month/quarter end close process and preparation of management and financial reporting to assist in the financial management of the Company within the Asset Management Group. This position is located in Markham, ON.


This position will be a key member of the finance team working closely with Senior management to deliver strategic financial support for the Asset Management Group’s forecasting and budgeting, profitability reviews as well as business partner support for the operations team. Furthermore, this role incorporates a combination of financial analysis, strategic analysis, business modeling, as well as creative thinking through supporting internal stakeholders, the ideal candidate will be working as part of a dynamic finance team, providing financial support for many business units. This position will be based in Markham, ON.

The successful candidate would be reporting to Manager Accounts and this is a hybrid role (2 days in a week from office premises).


What you will be doing:


  • Skilled in financial forecasting, planning & analytics, including the ability to consolidate large amounts of data into clear and concise analysis/reporting that supports decision-making (i.e. Group forecasting/budgeting, Sales performance, headcount analysis, etc.)
  • Work with business partners to forecast expected revenue, project costs, and project margins.
  • Work with Operations Management to report on relevant professional services metrics (i.e. Professional Services Utilization, Services backlog, revenue per FTE, etc…)
  • Assist the accounting team in other aspects of quarterly financial close, board reporting, and other statutory reporting as required.
  • Lead the Regional Sales, Marketing, and Operations budgeting process and work closely with the Operations leadership to address inquiries.
  • Lead, coordinate, and execute with the Business Units the preparation of monthly and quarter-end consolidated financial reporting and various supporting analyses detailing variances from forecast/budget.
  • Prepare and enhance existing financial reporting to help articulate key messages, insights, and trends to the audience as well as ad-hoc requests as required.
  • Incorporate all new acquisitions into consolidated reporting
  • Own the AMG reporting tree in Prophix and all associated changes to the reporting structure.
  • Generate, review, and present a full set of monthly/quarterly financials to senior management in Operations and Finance and address their questions
  • Other corporate and FP&A-related duties and initiatives supporting the global business (beyond AMG)

What you bring:


  • CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling
  • Ability to work with non-finance team members to communicate financial results and achieve desired financial outcomes.
  • Advanced excel skills and/or experience working with ERP systems to produce meaningful reporting.
  • Experience with Great Plains / Prophix an asset
  • Experience in SaaS or Software industry is a plus
