Your Role and Responsibilities

Securities Industry Services (SIS) Division within Kyndryl is a leading provider of brokerage transaction processing to the Canadian securities industry. SIS has provided comprehensive end-to-end brokerage services to financial clients for more than 45 years. Our robust technology solutions are driven by proven financial expertise and are supported by a team of dedicated professionals who collaborate with clients across Canada.

SIS Division has an immediate opening for a Test Specialist. Reporting to a Team Lead, this position will be responsible for developing test strategies, creating effective test plans, and test cases, provide test effort estimates and validation schedules while adhering to SDLC test methodology and practices.

We will be approaching a hybrid model of working, hence a requirement to work in the office at times focusing on client requirements and collaboration. However, in the meantime, this position is fully remote.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of QA/Testing experience with a focus on mainframe technologies (CICS, MVS Batch testing using JCL, tools in Z/OS environment such as TSO, ISPF, DB2)
• Strong communication skills

• QA working experience in the financial industry and contractual SLAs are met and avoid financial penalties.
• Review and analyze application requirements and technical design specifications to develop test strategies, create effective test plans, and test cases, and provide test effort estimates and validation schedules while adhering to SDLC test methodology and practices
• Participate in requirements, design reviews and delivery planning sessions with SIS teams during software releases, project solution definition and delivery phases
• Execute manual and automated test cases, design and run automated scripts using test tools as required, capture and analyze results
• Create logs, track and document test progress, capture defect metrics and open problem records using defect management tools while adhering to quality assurance and quality control process and procedures
• Report defects and errors to management, development and business teams
• Confirm code under test meets business requirements, specifications and defined test exit criteria
• Canadian broker experience would be considered an asset
• Understands FIX protocol would be considered an asset
