Manufacturing Associate

· Reporting Directly to the Production Supervisor

Sunspace has become the largest employer in Newcastle, Ontario with a staff of more than 150 valued employees in the summer months. Sunspace is now a leading manufacturer in the United States as well as Canada, with Authorized Dealers covering the entire Eastern seaboard from Maine to South Carolina and reaching as far into the mid-west from Minnesota to Arkansas

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Associate

· Assist in the manufacturing/production of sunrooms and other seasonal products

· Assist in the set-up and organization of material locations

· Receive and follow directions from other personnel regarding assistance with operations

· Inspect product & material to ensure compliance with tolerance/quality standards

· Operation of required tools and measuring instruments - tape measure, and other hand/power tools i.e. saws, drills

· Meet daily targets and goals to ensure production requirements are met within the department

· Maintain work area(s)

· Work as a team in a designated department

· Follow health and safety policies and procedures ensuring a safe working environment

The Manufacturing Associate will possess:

· Experience in a production/manufacturing/warehouse environment in an asset

· Experience using hand and Power Tools is an asset
