What you'll do:

Reporting to the Strategic Marketing Manager, the Strategic Marketing Student will support in a variety of tasks in the planning and execution of Canadian Tire’s Marketing campaigns.

  • Help with the development of integrated creative and media briefs that inspire and direct partner agencies to develop breakthrough that deliver on brand and business objectives
  • Assist in the execution of integrated mass marketing campaign activities including Digital, TV, Social Media, Print, Radio, OOH and ensure standard processes are optimized to support this goal
  • Assist in sharing scheduled updates on the specific brands to cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with team as required in executing tasks of assigned projects
  • Assist in day-day managing of social media accounts/content creation/influencer work

What you bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Previous co-op experience considered to be an asset
  • Previous retail experience considered to be an asset
  • Attention to detail, strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills with the confidence and passion to share knowledge
  • Flexibility to prioritize and manage multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Interested in marketing - helping us take bold and strategic moves in a rapidly evolving retail environment
