Cloverdale Paint is seeking an ambitious individual for full-time positions with open availability to work out of our Industrial Tint room in Surrey, BC. The successful candidate should have extensive paint tinting experience and a positive attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure colour correctness of tinted products at the branch
  • Develop, implement, and maintain colour match filing systems
  • Aid in mistint reduction through training and supervision of other staff
  • Provide staff with product knowledge and colour development training
  • Communicate product issues to appropriate personnel, including but not limited to, Product Development Committee
  • Complete and provide branch tint logs to Product Development Committee
  • Ensure proper processing and filing of custom colour forms
  • Oversee all ongoing repairs and maintenance of tint room equipment, including: tint machines, shakers and mixing equipment
  • Maintain inventory of all product in the tint room
  • Ensure the cleanliness and order of tint room and surrounding area

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1-year of Retail Sales and/or Paint Industry experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Team player
  • Strong work ethic, with a can-do attitude
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural paint, industrial coatings, sundries, resale paint, spray equipment and accessories
  • Capable of tinting paint following autotinter procedures, and manual tinter procedures (if applicable)
  • Superior matching and tinting abilities for paint based on formulated colours, therefore, capable of distinguishing the difference between colours

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
