Bird Nason Contracting Group is currently seeking applications for Material Technicians for a project near Vanderhoof, B.C.

Project: Blackwater Gold - Construction of a gold mine crushing circuit and processing circuit

Location: Near Vanderhoof, BC

Schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off, 10 hour per day

Benefits and RRSP Provided as per collective agreement

Camp Provided

Travel Available if Applicable

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Conducting material testing using various techniques and equipment
  • Recording and analyzing data from material tests
  • Preparing samples for testing and analysis
  • Knowledge of calibration, maintenance, and testing of equipment
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Adequate communication skills and ability to present technical data and reports
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Additional duties as required

Experience Requirements:

  • Certification or diploma (Civil Engineering) in relevant field would be considered an asset
  • 2+ years of experience in material testing and analysis
  • Knowledge and experience of various testing equipment, (ASTM/ATT/CSA) test procedures
  • CSTS 09 or CSTS-2020
  • WHMIS 2015
