We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Affairs Liaison to join our team. In this position you will have the opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and expertise to help us develop, implement, and maintain an innovative and strategic approach to Medical Affairs that will meet the current and future needs of Lakeridge Health. You will play a key role in providing high quality administrative support to the Medical Affairs Office, to assigned Physician Leaders, and to Medical Departments to achieve our vision and the objectives of Lakeridge Health's strategic direction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Manager of Medical and Academic Affairs, the Medical Affairs Liaison is instrumental in championing strategies between multiple stakeholders liaising with and supporting Lakeridge Health privileged Staff and Physician Leadership while facilitating Medical Affairs administrative processes.

As a professional resource your partnership acts as a liaison for privileged staff communication of departmental activities, transmitting information and assist in the development, implementation of policies and procedures assisting the Physician Services Specialist with recruitment intake and orientation support activities. The role requires a proactive, dynamic, individual who has strong interpersonal skills, willing to take on new challenges and to identify and implement innovative ideas for improving services in Medical Affairs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Medical Office Administration Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience performing similar duties within a related environment;
  • Intermediate level of computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (tested); a willingness to look to technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a strong team member with excellent interpersonal skills for a client focused environment;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health care organization office practices, procedures and standards;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with valuable members of interdisciplinary teams, community support system/services, and various academic agencies;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic and medical affairs functions an asset;
  • Proven project management, consulting, coaching and facilitation skills;
  • Strong verbal communication, presentation and writing skills;
  • Expert knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional methodologies, technology-enabled design and learning methods;
  • Must have a satisfactory performance record;

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices, including staff safety, patient safety, environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education in this area;
  • Ability to travel between sites as required; and
  • Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard.
