Medical Office Administrator

Toronto Poly Clinic is a busy Multidisciplinary Chronic Pain Management Centre for the treatment of chronic pain. Our Branches include Thornhill (Bayview and John) and North York (Yonge and Finch). We are involved in physician pain management, pain research, and patient education.

We currently have an opening for individuals who have a positive and professional attitude to come into our clinic and work as a Medical Office Administrator within our team at our North York branch.

This position requires strong and well-developed clinical and communication skills in-person, via phone and computer. Our office is fast paced and is in the midst of the transition to electronic medical records. Being a strong individual as well as a cooperative team player with experience in the field is an absolute must for this position.

Minimum of 1-2 years experience as Medical Office Administrator is a must.

Job descriptions:

  • Greet patients in a welcoming and professional manner
  • Pull charts for all doctors schedules as required for the next day
  • Check/respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Answer all incoming calls
  • Manage incoming faxes (prescription requests, new patient referrals)
  • Book and confirm patient appointments
  • Create patient chart for new patients
  • Conduct Urine tests as per Doctor request
  • Physician room set up and organization
  • Processing file requests from insurance, law offices, and other clinics
  • Prepare and process Ministry of Health billings if needed
  • Maintain and order office supplies as needed
  • E-mail A/R and all invoices to the Accounting Dept.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
