About our Client

Recruiting in Motion Vancouver is an authorized staffing partner and service provider to The University of British Columbia. UBC has several locations that we provide temporary staff including the Point Grey Campus, UBC Robson Square and several UBC hospital sites (VGH and vicinity, St. Paul’s, BCCH, Royal Columbian, and BC Women’s). They are looking for a hard-working, energetic Medical Office Assistant to join their dynamic department of Dental clinic on full-time temporary basis from March 1st to March 24th, 2023 with a high possibility of assignment getting extended. Responsibilities

  • Providing desk reception such as responding to phone inquiries and scheduling
  • Ordering supplies and food for families and internal staff meeting
  • Completing data entry, filing, photocopying, client charts and transcribing patient notes
  • Providing MSP billing information
  • Escorting clients to the appropriate rooms
  • Cleaning and sanitizing small clinical instruments according to health standards
  • Performing other tasks as required

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system is required
  • Experience in clinical setting is a must
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
