What You'll do:

As a Merchandising Student Coordinator, you will work closely within a Merchandising division to support the delivery of merchandising activities such as executing assortment, pricing and promotional plans. You will gain a variety of business experiences by working with multiple Category Business Management (CBM) teams.

  • Execute and support various activities including line reviews, planograms, and ad hoc administrative/organizational support
  • Support the line review process by overseeing the collection and accuracy of vendor quote forms
  • Coordinate product samples for CBM teams and Retail Merchandising Analysts at Retail City
  • Acquire product images from vendors for use in flyers, digital, and internal documents
  • Gather market information such as consumer, competitor and supplier information

What you'll bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related discipline
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze financial and marketing data, think strategically, develop resourceful solutions and turn ideas into action in order to drive sales and profit
  • Exceptional communication skills with the confidence and passion to share knowledge
  • Creative thinker who is observant to seek new opportunities and perceptive to abstract ideas
  • The ability to take a collaborative approach to build strong relationships and have positive team experiences
