Permanent Full-Time Academic Position

St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH), Department of Diagnostic Imaging, and McMaster University, Department of
Radiology, Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), is seeking a full-time radiologist with accredited 12-month Fellowship
Training in Neuroradiology to join the SJHH sited team of 20 sub-specialized Radiologists. This is a two year contract, renewable upon favorable review. Full-time position.

The preferred candidate will have sub-specialized training in all aspects of Neuroradiology, including Head & Neck
Imaging. Candidates must have proven evidence of an ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment.
This includes participation in regularly scheduled multidisciplinary conferences. The successful candidate must have proven proficiency in the areas of MRI, CT, Ultrasound and General Radiography. Participation in weeknight and weekend general call is required.

This is a full-time faculty position at McMaster University, with academic rank commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.

Neuroradiology fellowship training is mandatory. The successful candidate will promote clinical scholarship and demonstrate strong potential for teaching, mentorship and scholarly research. Participation in teaching and supervision for our strong residency and subspecialty fellowship programs, as well as undergraduate programs is required.

St. Joseph’s Healthcare (SJHH) is a multi-site (3) acute-care, 740 bed teaching hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and an affiliated teaching hospital of McMaster University, Faculty of Health Sciences. It operates as the Regional Referral
Centre for Head & Neck Surgery, Mental Health and Addictions, Thoracic Surgery, Respirology, Hemodialysis,
Nephrology and Renal Transplantation, Colorectal surgery, Urology and Bariatric Surgery. It has a large, comprehensive out-patient neuroradiology referral practice.

The SJHH Diagnostic Imaging Department has two 1.5T MRI scanners, one 3T MRI scanner and two multi-slice CT scanners. Research facilities at St. Joseph’s Healthcare include the Imaging Research Centre with a dedicated 3T research magnet and a new GE Discovery MI 5 ring PET/CT scanner.

Hamilton is a major academic and cultural hub lying between the shores of Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment.

Qualified Applicants must either hold or be eligible for certification in diagnostic radiology for the Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, have undertaken fellowship training in neuroradiology and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
