is looking for an Occupational Therapist to work with our team of professionals in OT Services, OR2, and COT programs.

The Occupational Therapist will also be an integral part of the Veterans Rehabilitation Services, and will get a chance to make a difference in the lives of Canadian Veterans whose service-related health problems limit their functioning in civilian life

Responsibilities:

The successful OT candidate will be responsible for performing occupational therapy assessments, program planning, intervention, consultation, education, discharge planning, and program evaluation using recognized occupational therapy techniques and practices.

  • Performing in clinic Occupational Therapy assessments and treatment planning for clients within Long Term Disability, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Employer Groups, and Worksafe BC
  • Conduct Job demands analyses, job coaching and return to work planning
  • Ergonomic assessments and education to clients on ergonomic principles
  • Community based assessments to address client safety, attendant care, and ADLs
  • Meet with interdisciplinary team members and participate in case conferences and case management
  • Regular report writing, charting and communication in a timely manner
  • Interact with clients and stakeholders to deliver educational sessions/presentations
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations

Requirements:

  • Master's in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia
  • Second language is a strong asset
  • Good communication and report writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Continued learning through professional development
  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
