Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead, manage, and oversee the day-to-day operations of our store, bakery and imports. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in retail management, a keen understanding of the British products market, and a passion for delivering an authentic British shopping experience to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, merchandising, and employee management.
  • Implement strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability.
  • Ensure high standards of visual merchandising and brand representation.
  • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
  • Analyze sales figures, customer reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs.
  • Maintain outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
  • Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc.).
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.
  • Ensure health, safety and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in retail management, preferably in a specialty store environment.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of British goods, culture, and trends.
  • Strong business acumen and performance analysis skills.
  • Proven successful experience in store management.
  • Powerful leading skills and business orientation.
  • Customer management skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and retail management software.
