Optical Sales Assistant
Spects Optical is a small business located in the Town of Newcastle. We have been operating for almost 10 years, and we are looking for an individual who is just as passionate about optical as us!

The right candidate will have a friendly and outgoing personality, and will work very well with a small team. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Optical sales

- Multiple daily interactions with patients, over the phone and in person

- Patient intake on doctor days, filling out required forms and prescription details for the doctor to reference

- Scheduling appointments, answering emails, checking voicemail

- Assist customers in choosing the best frames and correct lens options for each patient

- Processing sales with the use of a POS system

- Process insurance claims, accepting payment from patients

- Assisting patients with adjustments and repair of glasses, process warranties if necessary

- Cleaning frames during sales process, and following all COVID-19 protocols

What YOU bring to the table:

- 3 Plus years of customer service, with optical experience being an asset but not required

- Polished appearance with an appropriate business casual wardrobe

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and other computer applications

- Have knowledge of filing processes, and excellent organizational skills

- Efficient time management skills, and a punctual personality

- Able to handle multiple patients at once, while staying on top of all tasks and completing them in a timely manner

- Detail oriented to ensure all information regarding patients and orders are accurately entered

- Able to adapt to new situations and learn quickly

- An easy going, confident individual with a professional attitude

Salary: $15.00-$16.50 per hour
