To be considered for this role, you must have the ability to lift 75-100lbs and have an excellent command of the English language. A clean driving record is essential with a Class 5 license (G License) or better. Current, clean driver's abstract required. Knowledge of Timmins to Hearst ON (and surrounding area) is considered an asset, along with the ability to read geographical maps. The successful incumbent must be available to work from 5:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday, with the ability to work overtime hours based on business needs.

Major Activities and Responsibilities

· Deliver freight on behalf of Canpar, Loomis, DHL, UPS and other agents

· Use pulse scanner for all required activities on the daily route; all scannable waybills, laser waybills, and shipper’s own bar-coded labels must be scanned

· Delivery of all assigned material in the route area, within the specific requirements of both customer and company

· Pick up of all assigned customer pick-ups within the specific guidelines of the customers and company

· Compile and submit accurate route records on a daily basis, along with pretrip inspections

Accountabilities/Results

· Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction

· Professional representation of company at all times, including the maintenance and presentation of vehicle, uniform, etc.

· On-time pick-up and delivery of customer shipments

· Interact effectively with other members of the customer service and operation teams

· Hourly rate for this position is $18.75 - $19.54 per hour depending on experience

· Criminal record check required

· Clean Driver's Abstract required
