The Business Development and Leasing Team in the Park Business Services Unit works with business operators who provide a variety of activities and services to park visitors. Private sector park businesses offer profit potential while providing visitors with an outstanding experience and encouraging new visitors to explore our parks.

The Opportunity

The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport, Park Business Services Unit has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an organized, enthusiastic and client-service focused individual to join their team for a two year term.

As a Park Business Event Coordinator, you will:

  • Build on strong, existing relationships and develop new relationships with business partners to improve and expand event offerings for park visitors.
  • Liaise and coordinate special events, including events hosted by business partners and events developed by the ministry with business partners participating in those events.
  • Manage event logistics in coordination with business partners and internal ministry groups to deliver a successful event.
  • Coordinate marketing and promotional opportunities for business partner events to drive public visitation to those parks.
  • Have ongoing communication and engagement with business partners to develop strong, trusting relationships.
  • Manage and develop the park business websites.

  • Have event coordination or project management experience highlighting your superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Be an inspired, out of the box thinker, using creativity and innovation to expand and improve Sask Parks events.
  • Apply a customer service focused approach, willing to take the extra step and go the extra mile.
  • Have the ability to build productive relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Communicate in an accurate, understandable and concise manner to individuals or groups.
  • Have the ability to work both independently and as a team member to meet client and program needs.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and commitments in a dynamic, multi-task environment.
