About The Opportunity:

In this dynamic role, you will coordinate event bookings at Prince George parks, sport fields and outdoor recreation facilities to ensure the best possible customer experience. You will manage all customer requests for facility bookings, liaise with various suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders and maintain professional relationships with local organizations to generate future event and sport tourism opportunities. With the goal of maximizing the use of space and ensuring customer satisfaction, you will be responsible for maintaining the facility scheduling system, preparing contract agreements, and ensuring user compliance as well as assisting with budget preparation and administrative tasks related to facility rentals.


About Your Background:

Along with completing Grade 12 you have a two-year diploma in hospitality, tourism, marketing management or a related field and a minimum of two years of experience in event coordination, outdoor recreation programming and/or leisure and sport program administration. You have considerable knowledge of organized community recreation principles and practices and the proven ability to work with program budgets and operating schedules. You have a strong customer service focus, are flexible and adaptable and can work independently with sound judgement. Your well-developed organizational and problem solving skills will assist you in providing quality service to our clientele. A valid, full privilege Class 5 driver's license is required along with a Police Information Check for offences related to the position.
