Position: Part-Time Club Leader (Dual Rate Sales Floor Supervisor & Club Member)

The Treehouse Cannabis Company is actively seeking part-time, dual rate sales floor supervisors, dubbed “Part-Time Club Leaders.” These Leaders work both in Club Member roles and Leadership roles. Knowledgeable, responsible, dedicated, ambitious, mature individuals who possess leadership qualities and are interested in joining our club, are encouraged to apply! Some Duties and Responsibilities as Club Leader may include

  • Use strong floor management skills to manage the day-to-day operations of the store and drive sales
  • Train/coach Club Members on product education and ensure a superior customer experience
  • Lead Club Members and ensure they are following procedures and completing their duties efficiently
  • Manage and assign cash and product floats. Responsible for signing in and verifying floats of cannabis and cash and assigning floats to club members at beginning and end of shifts
  • Assist and report to Club Manager and Assistant Club Managers and follow Standard Operating Procedures as provided
  • Lead by example and deliver exceptional customer service
  • Seize opportunities to improve business results and build an engaged team
  • Offer solutions to management to improve and achieve operational excellence
  • Ensure the store meets and adheres to all company training and operational standards and procedures
  • Guide customers as they select products including cannabis flower, edibles, concentrates, and cannabis accessories (within the boundaries of provincial and federal regulations)
  • Behave with courtesy and professionalism with all customers and staff
  • General housekeeping of store spaces (vacuum/sweep sales floor area, wipe down counters & glass display cabinets, etc.)
  • Able to lift/carry boxes 5-30 lbs (2-14 kg)
  • Build lasting customer relationships and encourage all staff members to do the same
  • Demonstrate strong time-management and organizational skills to keep priorities in focus
  • Support new hires through mentorship
  • Is self-aware and focused on self-development
  • Collaborate with the club during morning and closing meetings
  • Stay up-to-date (and ensure staff are up-to-date as well) with product knowledge, company information, new launches, campaigns and promotions
  • Enforce all company policies and programs, ensuring compliance
  • Adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, provincial and municipal legislation
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the Club Manager and Assistant Club Manager

Some Duties & Responsibilities When in Club Member Position

  • Greeting customers as they enter the store
  • Checking ID to verify age as required by government regulations
  • Manage Point of Sale (POS) terminal
  • Manage cash and product floats. You will be responsible for signing in and verifying floats of cash at beginning and end of shifts.
  • Create an educational and informative experience for all customers, regardless of their experience. In-house training will be provided.
  • Excellent product knowledge in order to guide customers as they select products including cannabis flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, and cannabis accessories (within the boundaries of provincial and federal regulations)
  • Assist and report to Club Leaders and Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager and follow Standard Operating Procedures as provided
  • Make off-site customer deliveries using personal vehicle as needed (compensation for mileage provided)
  • Behave with courtesy and professionalism with all customers and staff
  • Report any suspicious behaviour or abusive customers to management
  • General housekeeping of store spaces (vacuum/sweep sales floor area, wipe down counters & glass display cabinets, etc.)
  • May be asked to lift boxes 5-30 lbs (2-14 kg)
  • Adhere to all legislative requirements of cannabis retailers, including federal, provincial and municipal legislation
  • Complete tasks as assigned by Club Leaders, the Club Manager and Assistant Club Manager

Qualifications

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Must have completed CannSell Certification online
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Post Secondary degree/diploma preferred
  • Experience in retail sales and customer service preferred
  • Retail leadership/management experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Team player mentality
  • Basic math skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Passion and excitement for cannabis and its derivatives
  • Desire to educate customers and the community about cannabis without offering any perceived medical advice
  • Resourceful, creative and solution-oriented

  • Strong floor leadership and coaching skills to develop and motivate a sales team

Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Must have completed the most recent CannSell Certification online
  • Valid drivers license and access to reliable vehicle with valid insurance
  • Post Secondary degree/diploma preferred
  • Retail leadership experience preferred
  • Must be flexible with hours of work and be comfortable with ever changing duties
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Note: Offers of employment are conditional. Applicant must provide (at applicant’s own expense) proof of valid CannSell certification as well as a Criminal Background Check obtained no earlier than 3 months prior to date of job offer.
