Position Summary:
The Parts Runner is responsible to complete the daily parts and material pickups for the Purchasing department and other departments as required. Also, ensuring the shop is in a clean safe and operating manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete pick-up and delivery of parts, materials, tools in a time efficient manner with proper communication back to the warehouse
- Communicate with vendors in regards to the pickup and delivery of parts as required
- General shop maintenance and cleaning.
- Physically receiving material and putting into applicable location as directed by the warehouse staff
- Assist with the set-up and take-down of monthly safety meetings.
- Completing regular shop, forklift and truck inspections as required
- Participation in the Valleyview run schedule as required
- Any other projects or assignments as required
Qualifications required:
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Fork Lift Ticket
