Description:

The Patient Navigator (PN) is critical to the effective and efficient provision of Cardiac Services at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute (MAZ). The PN triages and manages patients as they enter cardiac care by providing support, education, direction and ensuring preparedness for their journey. Additionally, the role ensures optimization of clinical resources and that wait times meet or exceed provincial and national performance standards. The PN is an integral part of the cardiac sciences operations management team, managing access to Cardiac Services for both inpatients and outpatients as well as maintaining patient flow through program beds on a daily basis.

Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required. 2-4 years of current Acute Care experience required.

Cardiac Sciences experience preferred. Current BCLS preferred.
