Northern Health Region Gillam, MB

Responsible for the management of the facilities and clinical oversight in Gillam.

Primary responsibilities relate to patient care and facility operations, Human Resources Management, Financial
Management, policy development and professional standards, program planning, quality management,
equipment/supplies/space management, in-service education, professional development, research, environmental
management, committee participation, and communication.

This position requires on-site service and travel to outlying communities within the region.

The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry check and
Adult Abuse Registry check, and adhere to all Northern Health Region policies and procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (other combinations of health profession education and experience may be
considered)
  • Current active practicing registration with the applicable College
  • Certificate in Health Care Administration preferred
  • Valid Manitoba Class V driver’s license, willingness to travel the region year-round
  • Working knowledge of Windows based programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet
  • Two (2) years’ comprehensive experience related to the position
  • Two (2) years’ supervisory/management experience
  • Knowledge of evidence informed best practices and clinical care standards
  • Knowledge of patient safety and Accreditation Canada standards
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and health standards
  • Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of members of the health care team
  • Satisfactory employment record required
  • Successful candidate subject to provide security checks in accordance with Security Checks for Employment
