Payroll Administrator Job at Robert Half
The Company
As an industry leader for over 40 years this organization is continuing to grow and expand across its operations and staff. As such, they are in need of a Payroll Administrator to add to the team in the Mississauga area. In this role as the Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for data integrity, compliance and providing exceptional customer service to staff.
The Role
Reconcile and process payroll on a biweekly basis while also overseeing time and attendance validations
Maintain the payroll data to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence and/or unpaid leaves
Address voluntary deductions and wage garnishments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary stakeholders
Aid staff with wage deductions, fringe benefits, pay related issues, PTO accruals, and general questions related to payroll
Support the Payroll Manager with quarterly and year-end payroll reports
Adhere to current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting
Establish timely processing of payroll in accordance with labour regulations and standard accounting principles
Perform regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger
Adherence to protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data
About You
Detail oriented with a knack for helping staff with payroll related inquiries
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi task
PCP required (applicants with PCP in progress will be considered)
Full cycle payroll knowledge is considered an asset
Demonstrated knowledge of ADP Workforce Now required
Strong working knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
