Our growing company is currently looking to hire a People & Culture Coordinator to join our team based out of our Grande Prairie office. The People & Culture Coordinator provides assistance to the People & Culture department, specifically in recruitment, employment changes, coordination of human resources programs and is also integral to the effective use of our HRIS system and consistent and accurate employee records.
Responsibilities:
As our People and Culture Coordinator you will be responsible for:
  • Support the efforts of our Talent Acquisition team with sourcing, selection and onboarding new hires.
  • Coordinate routine employment changes and associated documentation, including transitioning employees to contractors and processing status changes.
  • Enter employee data and changes into the HRIS system, ensuring integrity of HR data and consistency between systems.
  • Support learning and development initiatives for the organization.
  • Assist in administering the organization’s apprenticeship programs, including assisting employees through the apprenticeship journey and seeking opportunities for the company to indenture new talent into the trades.
  • Administer the employee referral program to effectively promote opportunities through our current employee base; track employee referral bonuses for payment.
  • Participate in recruitment and employment events, as required.
  • Create customized (internal) resumes of employees for customers, as required.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the recruitment dashboard to keep the business updated and informed on key talent acquisition metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of documentation, templates and reports to support talent acquisition and human resources functions.
  • Continually look for ways to optimize and improve talent acquisition and human resources processes, programs and policies, in collaboration with the People & Culture team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications/Skills required:
  • 3+ years in an administrative role within Recruitment or Human Resources, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
  • Intermediate expertise in Excel, Word, Outlook. Experience with HRIS systems is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality.
  • Superior attention to detail combined with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities, tolerate ambiguity and work with a variety of personalities.
  • High school diploma; a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Human Resources or Recruitment an asset.
  • Actively working towards, or achievement of, the CPHR and/or RPR designation is an asset.
