The Pharmacy Assistant will be responsible for providing professional customer service in a knowledgeable manner, as well as contributing to the team in the administration and collaboration of workflow and production efficiencies.

Our client has been an industry leader in managing the fulfillment, logistics and delivery of service excellence in Pharmacy and Medical Supplies for nearly a generation. Our client supports the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of medications and medical supplies all across Manitoba. In its commitment to the Indigenous community, our client has been providing medication delivery and service to people in rural and remote communities as well as Health Centers and Nursing Stations throughout its history.

Responsibilities:

This entry level role is all about Team Support, Accountability, Potential and Purpose. The responsibilities will include fulfilling and supporting the Pharmacy Team in all areas of:

  • Blister pack assembly and support
  • Medical supply prescription filling
  • Restocking pharmacy inventory and supplies
  • Prescription assembly
  • Administrative duties: inventory tracking, narcotic counts, cycle counts etc
  • Prescription scanning and filing
  • Upholding company standards and mission

Qualifications and Education:

  • Fluent in English
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • Awareness of Indigenous Culture and knowledge of the communities considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Excellent hours: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday
  • Large Corporate Pharmacy environment
  • Intermittent lifting of less than 30lbs
  • Alternating sitting, walking and standing
  • Flexibility in schedule as needed for business purposes
