The Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for providing superior customer service in a friendly, knowledgeable and professional manner to pharmacy patients / customers. Ability to be self-directed and able to work independently to meet strict deadlines will be the key to success in this role. Actively contributes to a positive and productive working environment

Job Description

• Evaluate legality, interpret and confirm the accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling, input;
• Data entry of patient information in Kroll and third-party adjudication.
• Assisting the pharmacy team with the preparation, packaging, and accurate dispensing of patient prescriptions.
• Performs administrative duties, including receiving rx orders, filling supplies, cleaning
• Perform maintenance / cleaning duties on our automated Robot Parata Mini Respond to customers, client, and healthcare related calls
• Product ordering / receiving inventory
• Handling customer prescription pick up,
• Other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy owner or the Pharmacist on-duty

Required Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

• Kroll/ Telus Pharmacy Software experience (preferred)
• 2+ years community pharmacy experience (preferred)
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to assess customer needs, problem solve, and use critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to Multi-Task
• Fluent in English (French is an asset)
