We are hiring Press Set Up Operators on behalf of our client in Beaverton. This position is full-time and may become permanent for the right candidates. We are currently hiring for the afternoon shift.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up the press, inspect parts, obtain inspection for first piece approval and run parts based on directions received
- Obtain the necessary tooling and materials
- Operate and handle using established standard operating procedures/guidelines to manufacture and ensure product meets quality objectives
- Communicate with supervisor, production control and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Secondary (high school) diploma, GED or equivalent an asset
- Previous set up experience in a similar role required
- Mechanical aptitude
- Able to operate hand and power tools
- Able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
- Able to work some overtime as required
- Candidates must have reliable transportation to work (public transportation not available)
RATE OF PAY: $21.75-$23.35 per hour (based on experience and shift)
