The Relay Products organization provides technology products that power a vast global middle-mile network of carriers and drivers, moving goods between facilities in a sophisticated ballet of predictive planning, intelligent automation and mobile and web apps for drivers, carriers and internal staff. This role sits within the Execution and Disruption intelligence (XDI) team which is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery by using prediction models and monitoring for potential disruptions to a shipment. This team also owns a suite of automated tools for recovery, and end-to-end workflows used by hundreds of support agents to manage intervention and recovery.

This role will be responsible for leading product strategy and development for the disruption and recovery product portfolio. They will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives to expand the range of detection and prediction to new scenarios, develop a platform for making cost-aware decisions for intervention, and build workflows that deliver the right level of intelligence and automation to our support users.

This role requires an aptitude for working at the intersection of technology and data, designing operational metrics and a passion for finding creative solutions to delight our customers. It also calls for excellent judgement honed by practical experience, and the organizational skills to lead the product through change, evolution, and sustained growth. Candidates will be expected to have an established background in product development, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You should enjoy diving deep into complex problems, and center around metrics to define objectives, measure progress and meet goals.

Key job responsibilities
  • Define the vision and charter for navigation
  • Collaborate with UX, Research and Engineering on continuous improvement of turn-by-turn experience and Points-of-Interest (POIs)
  • Lead strategic expansion into new (global) regions with high-quality route coverage
  • Lead innovation on internal tools and back-end services for routing and geospatial analysis.

  • Experience launching and leading data or analytical products
