Quality Wire Products Mfg. Inc., is the leading Wire Retail Display Manufacturer in Canada and is a division of the Concord Store Fixture Group of Companies. We are seeking an experienced Production Lead Hand for our Wire Division. We offer TOP WAGES and HEALTH BENEFITS.
Roles & Responsibilities:
This position supervises approx. 15 skilled-trade labourers and oversees the Wire Division Shop Floor:
- setup/operate Press/Spot Welding machines
- setup/operate Basic Wire Cutting machines
- setup/operate Basic Wire Forming machines
- supervise multiple welding cells
- must have ability to build welding jigs from schematics
- inspect parts for deficiencies
Qualifications:
- 5 years Experience working in a wire shop producing retail displays
- previous spot/press welding production or manufacturing experience an asset
- strong attention to detail
- ability to stand and perform repetitive movements for the entirety of a shift
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- understand basic written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks
- must be able to work and operate general shop equipment used to cut, form and weld parts
- some Mig welding experience would be an asset
- forklift license a definite asset
