Mackenzie Regional Community Society - Victim Services Unit Fort Vermilion, AB
We assist individuals affected by crime and tragedy. We are seeking a full time coordinator until September 2023; this position will be 40 hours per week and $28 per hour. The position is located in Fort Vermilion. The Victim Services Unit (VSU) covers a large geographic area, and the successful candidate will be required to travel on a regular basis within the region. Mandatory online training and ongoing professional development will be provided for the ideal candidate. As this position is a term position, it would become part time at the beginning of September 2023.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, post-secondary education in Human Services is an asset.
- Must possess a valid Alberta Drivers License.
- Team player able to work on their own under indirect supervision.
- Excellent communication skills with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
- Computer proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Experience working within Indigenous Communities.
- Must have the ability to work on call both evenings and weekends, and occasionally work flexible hours.
- Must submit to and pass a Child Welfare Information System Check through Child and Family Services Association.
- This position is dependent on the candidate’s ability to pass and maintain RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support as directed by the Program Coordinator.
- Case work coordination.
- Program administration.
- Provide support with administration, promotion, fundraising and advertising.
- Work closely with Indigenous Communities.
