About the Role

Corus Entertainment Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Program Scheduler at our Toronto location. Reporting to the Manager of Kids Programming, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for program planning, compliance, and scheduling of specialty networks.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in creating monthly and seasonal linear schedules for broadcast.
  • Input programming schedules in the Broadcast system according to master programming grids, ensuring that all spelling & timing is accurate.
  • Create & maintain episode rollouts for priority programming blocks.
  • Create monthly listings and verify content before sending to publications at least 6 weeks in advance.
  • Liaise with other departments and communicate schedule updates in a timely manner.
  • Research episodic content & stunt themed programming.
  • Make necessary broadcast adjustments caused by delivery changes and delays.
  • Provide program broadcast history and verifications upon request.
  • Provide publications with programming changes and updates as needed.
About You

Required skills and qualifications:
  • Experience with a Program Management data base preferred.
  • Must have extremely high level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter and strong team player with the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Must be well organized, proactive and have the ability to prioritize work flow and to produce high quality work within specified deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Passion for media/entertainment.
