We’re looking for a Project Coordinator. The work location for this position is Burnaby, British Columbia. It is eligible for Work from Home work arrangement, but will need flexibility to come into the Burnaby office roughly 1 or 2 times a month.
The Opportunity:
The Project Coordinator will contribute to the overall success of Ritchie Bros. Financial Services (“RBFS”) by delivering change projects and sustainment support that allows RBFS to maintain their status as an industry leader in used equipment finance and insurance, and to build the Ritchie Bros. brand as a financial services leader in the used equipment sector. The Project Coordinator for Ritchie Bros. Financial Services (“RBFS”) will be responsible for conducting and supporting project management activities and functions. Responsibilities include coordinating execution among project members, ensuring transparency and communication for stakeholders, and delivery of reports through development, post-installation, and sustainability.
In this role you’ll:
  • Coordinate & lead small/medium scope projects from initiation, planning, execution, installation, and sustainment
  • Deliver project postmortems to inform project success criteria and performance
  • Conduct assessments and audits to support sustainment of RBFS installed processes
  • Oversee the management of new business improvement requests
  • Support the Senior Project Manager with other project coordination duties and continuous improvements to the project management function at RBFS

The ideal candidate for this role has the following qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Project Coordination experience, industry is flexible
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with conflicting priorities; continuously re-evaluating project statuses, identifying issues and risks, suggesting ways to mitigate them, and escalating when necessary
  • Previous business analyst or project management experience an asset
  • Strong preference given to those with Salesforce or other CRM/database experience. Must have MS Office experience.
  • Ability to gather, organize and assess data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in preparing reports
  • Experience working with development/support teams

This job will require you to:
  • Ensure key project deliverables and timelines are reviewed and set prior to the start of execution; identify resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Facilitate project meetings to ensure deliverables set are being met; proactively identify people and schedule barriers and work with project members and stakeholders to resolve
  • Effectively communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion throughout the project life cycle
  • Track project progress and updates in RBFS project management boards
  • Work with Data Analytics to ensure product and user engagement reports are created
  • Lead project postmortem reviews and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Monitor break in and project queues to ensure submissions are reviewed, triaged and resolved effectively
  • Conduct huddle shadows and RBFS installation and sustainability audits on a monthly cadence
  • Consolidate employee timesheets and distribute team utilization reports
  • Develop and maintain RBFS project management documentation and resources
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager with project and sustainability meetings and activities
