Shop Manager- Aluminum Curtain Wall Manufacturing

Established in 2002, we specialize in Commercial and Institutional Glazing projects. The scopes include Exterior Glass: Curtain Walls, Window Walls, Storefronts and Entrances and Glass Canopies. Interior Glass: Sliding Doors, Swing Doors and Fixed Walls.

Sky Windows is in search of an experienced Aluminum Curtain Wall Manufacturing Shop Manager to join our team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with and manage co-workers, shipping department and production manager.

• Assist with inventory of supplies and materials as required

• Layout, setup and operate power and hand tools effectively and provide instruction to shop technicians.

• Ensure finished products are skidded and packaged as required for site delivery.

• Complete other related duties as assigned. Most activities involve working with aluminum and glass.

• Maintain a clean and organized workshop.

Candidate Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school diploma or equivalent is preferred

• Experience in the assembly and manufacture of curtain wall systems is required

• Ability to read and properly interpret production drawings is required

• Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is required

• Experience in aluminum door commercial hardware would be an asset

• Aptitude for math, measuring, layout and the use of power/hand tools

• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot basic production and layout issues

• Candidates must be dependable and punctual

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
