Job Description:

Main area of responsibility for Student Event Staff is to prepare, serve and clean up from events hosted on the Ottawa campus. This could include completing table and buffet set-ups, preparation of service duties, setting up event spaces, serving of food and beverage to patrons, and cleaning event space throughout and after the event. The incumbent must be able to work in a positive manner, within a team, while offering exceptional customer service to event clients and attendees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Service of food items as per directed;
  • Clearing and cleaning of event or banquet space, returning items to the correct location;
  • Setting banquet tables or event space as per manager direction;
Required Qualifications:
  • Up to high school or equivalent.
  • Less than one (1) year of experience.
Anticipated Weekly Schedule:
  • Scheduling would include up to 20 hours a week;
  • Evening and weekend availability is required.
  • Vacancies are for P18561 & P18402
  • This position is paid at $15.66/hr
  • This position concludes at the end of August 2023 with the possibility of extension.
  • This position is open to both domestic and international Algonquin College students.
This position requires on-site work at Algonquin College's Woodroffe (Ottawa) Campus.
