Description:
Some of the duties a successful candidate will be responsible for are:

  • Work with plant operations, warehouse personnel, corporate procurement, and approved suppliers to secure raw materials while managing inventories to target quantities.
  • Utilizing SAP, will generate P.O.’s and order raw materials required for plant operations
  • Will run MRP lane assigned for demand of raw materials
  • Will follow-up with vendors on confirmations on shipments
  • Liaise with Sourcing on raw materials requiring special attention
  • Coordinate raw material purchasing/requirements with area supervisors
  • As a secondary role, backfill for Logistics Assistant I as required to manage production scheduling and outgoing bulk shipments.
Qualifications:
  • minimum grade 12 education or equivalency
  • proficient in a computerized environment
  • SAP experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in a similar role – customer service, purchasing, production planning and scheduling
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong problem-solving skills
  • Organizational expertise with planning and prioritizing tasks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
