Job Description:
We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector for our client's upcoming Pipeline project.

This is a temporary position on our Client's site in Fort St John. This role is expected to start in early March and it is expected to end in the end of August. There may be LOA or Camp available for on-local workers.

What would you be doing?

  • Performing quality activities on vessel repair/alterations (AB-40).
  • Perform visual and physical checks on final assemblies, including welds, materials, and flange faces.
  • NDE coordination, including identification of welds requiring NDE.
  • Ensure that all relevant information has been captured, including welding procedures, welder ID, NDE, and redlining.
  • Maintain Quality documents according to established Quality manual and procedures.
  • Coordinate with team members on daily functional Quality Control duties

Does this sound like you?

  • Technical Education (WET or MET) or Journeyperson certification is an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of code requirements of both ASME and CSA (Canadian Standards Association).
  • DSP (DIRECT SERVICE PROVIDER) or Contractor Options Available.
  • Level 2 Welding Inspector qualification, Nace Level 1 qualification, and familarity with coating and hydrotesting packages.
  • Have previous vessel repair/alteration experience.
  • Vaild H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, TDG, WHMIS and Common Safety Orientation tickets are required.
  • CSA W 178.2 Level II or higher with job site applicable endorsements
  • Nace level 1 qualification
  • CSA Z662 experience
  • Familiarity with hydrotest packages, coating and ASME 31.3 piping.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • Proficiency in English verbal and written communication skills are required.
