Overview:

• We have partnered with this major automotive manufacturer (OEM) to support a substantial investment to develop their future line of vehicles.
• This project will be part of a multi-billion dollar investment to develop the companies newest lines of electric vehicles.
• This position is a hybrid role tied to the company's automotive assembly plant in Brampton, with the on-site work depending on the phase of the work.
• This role is on an open-ended contract with the program expected to go on for at least 3 years.

Job Description:

The Quality Specialist - ADAS Systems will be providing an independent review of the Quality System processes, within the supply base. The Quality Specialist ensures completion of the process to an acceptable standard, and delivery of a quality product to the customer at the launch of a new product.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Ensures quality customer objectives achievement for the vehicle(s) from concept until mass production.
• Produces monthly the synthesis of results obtained as well as an updated forecast on the quality KPI for the overall program and milestones.
• Ensure Quality deliverables are met on modifications done for the vehicle(s) in mass production.
• Responsible for providing; on-site support at suppliers' facilities to ensure launch readiness as required leading up to and including after program launch.
• Work cross-functionally with Powertrain Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure viable and technical proficient suppliers, and manufacturing processes are selected.
• Driving change within both plant manufacturing and component suppliers to resolve component issues, as well as ensure component suppliers' processes are robust and capable.
• Will lead problem solving activities with internal and external organizations, as well as manage key component quality milestones.
• Travel may be required (approximately 20%) to supplier locations and other facility locations in U.S. and Canada and possibly Mexico.

Skills & Qualifications:

Base Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent)
• Automotive Quality Engineering experience
• Experience with ADAS Systems

Preferred Requirements:

• Thorough understanding of FCA Quality and Supplier Operations
• Reactive Black Belt and Green Belt certifications and completed projects
• Experience launching engine programs
• Manufacturing, design release, and or supplier quality experience are strongly desired
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build partnerships both internally and externally
• Capable of planning and prioritizing including the ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency and create action plans
• Experience and ability to follow ISO/TS16949 and APQP processes to launch and monitor engine manufacturing.
