Key Responsibilities:

· Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change

· Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories

· Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures

· Maintains and improves product quality by investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods

· Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations

· On-site contact for all Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory issues

· Write up and develop all SOPs, Procedures, Policies & SSOPs, where required

· Develops, manages, and ensures compliance of a qualified GMPs and HACCP program and CFIA requirements

· Ensure the effectiveness of all pre-existing programs (GMPs, Sanitation, Waste Management, Training, Allergen Program, Vender Approval, Spec register etc.)

· Maintain GMP Trending Analysis

· Maintain customer complaint log and conduct primary internal investigation

· Manage QA/QC Team at the facility and operations included within the QA/Food Safety Management Program

· Support the Senior Management in establishing HACCP as the foundation of the food safety management (SQF) and quality culture

· Facilitate Quality Director in tracking the company’s progress toward meeting these objectives, identify resources and corrective actions that are needed to stay on track against these objectives

· Along with Quality Director, conduct regular reviews of each of the programs which support the company’s food safety and quality objectives, identifying opportunities both to improve the company’s performance against each program’s requirements and to improve the documents which describe each program

· Act as a member of the recall team, food defense, Internal Audit/ GMP Inspections and crisis management plans

· Conduct weekly meetings with Techs to ensure progression is visible on the floor

· Conduct weekly meetings with QA team, Production Team & other stakeholders to resolve issues being faced

· Trained and skilled back-up for the SQF Partitioner

· Ensure that team is effectively utilized and doing their jobs on time

· Monitor, analyze and report daily/weekly departmental performance through effective KPI tracking

· Provide daily/weekly feedback to floor employees and Quality team members through coaching and administer performance appraisals

· Handle all disciplinary situations appropriately and in a timely manner with appropriate supporting documentation

· Conducts regular “one-on-one” meetings with team members

Must have:

· 3 Years of experience of working as a Quality Supervisor in the food industry

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication

· Comfort of working in a fast-paced environment

. Proven leadership and people/team development skills

. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products

. Ability to schedule and manage team of Quality Technicians

. Able to provide trainings on all policies and guidelines to employees

Good to have:

· Experience of working in SQF certified food plant

Salary Range:

· $55,000 to $65,000 - depending on candidate’s experience and knowledge
