Quality/Accuracy Technician

*Must have a valid Canadian Passport, this role will require us getting a TN VISA for work in US

Work Location: 1055 Fountain St. North, PO Box 5002., Cambridge, ON, N3H 5K2 & Woodstock ON, Canada. (Client has 2 locations - Cambridge, ON & Woodstock ON)

Overtime :20/25/hr. (30 max)

2 years Diploma / Community College - Post High school degree.

Mandatory Travel (if applicable): US/Mexico /Canada

Quality Technician Description:

Checking body welding tooling and part accuracy, using FARO portable CMM equipment in conjunction with Polyworks
Gather part information from Digital Engineering systems.
Checking part quality using hand tools and quality checking fixtures.
Support Sheet metal Sub-assy. and Body build trials and activities during pre-production events.
Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, parts and part fitting.
Analyze part and sub-assembly data and provide feedback to project leader(s).
Create and update daily JSA's, Task Reports, Quality related documentation as required for proper handover.
Mechanical adjustments to Weld Equipment datums, clamps and other dimensional features to achieve desired Quality KPI levels.

_This is a Long Term Contract and will require Travel – 30-50% (Canada, US & Mexico or Japan).
Manager is looking for someone with 2-5 years’ experience
Will consider candidates from Automotive/Aerospace Quality experience (Needs someone with Sheet-metal QA Exposure).
Someone who is capable of using or similar portable CMM equipment (Like: FARO), scanners and laser tracker.
Strong mechanical ability. Small hand tools for adjusting / modifying part datums.

Requirements:

2-5 years’ experience
Automotive/Aerospace Quality experience (Sheet-metal QA).
Capable of using scanners, laser tracker or similar portable CMM equipment (Like: FARO).
Experience with PC DMIS, and/or Polyworks 3D Software an asset.
Strong mechanical ability. Small hand tools for adjusting / modifying part datums.
Strong Computer skills, including: MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word and Outlook.
Able to create and maintain schedules.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to handle medium physical work.
Ability to be flexible and adjust to changes that may occur daily.
Be a self-starter and self-motivated to continuously improve skills and new tech.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$35.00 per hour
