Recreation Group Facilitator Volunteer Job at Canadian Mental Health Association, York

Responsibilities:
As a volunteer facilitator, you will lead a bi-weekly activity with Korean-speaking seniors involving chair exercises, arts and crafts, self-care, mindfulness, creative expression and more. You will be responsible for maintaining all CMHA YSS policies and procedures relating to confidentiality, privacy and health and safety. A vulnerable sector check is required for this role.
The group meets every other Wednesday from 1-2 pm in Holland Landing. A car is required to get to the site.
Commitments to the role:
- Completion of Group Facilitation training
- Completion of general orientation and on-the-job training;
- Complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening Check
- Minimum of a 6-month commitment
- Notify the program coordinator, in advance if you are not able to be present for a shift
- Submit volunteer hours on a monthly
- Adheres to CMHA’s written volunteer policies and procedures
