Reporting Relationship: Manager, Pre & Post Op & Surgical Day Care (SDC)
Hiring Salary Range: $34.24 - $49.02
Responsibilities:
- Care of patients pre-op and post operatively.
- Care of patients post Diagnostic Inventions.
- Care planning and coordination of care with various team members.
- Utilization of computerized systems for documentation of patient care.
- Participation in project teams or Hospital committees as required.
Requirements:

Current Ontario Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario required

BCLS certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification (Registered Nurses currently employed by HRH are exempted).

Minimum 2 years recent surgical experience required.

Minimum 2 year experience in a perioperative setting preferred.

Post Anesthetic Care Certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency in initiating IV therapy required.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, patients, family members and visitors.

Demonstrate good patient assessment skills. Successful completion of the Health assessment course preferred.

Demonstrate excellent patient/family teaching skills.
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
Hours of work:
Must be able to work staggered shifts between the hours of 06:30 and 21:30 hrs.
