Qualifications:

· Registered Practical Nurse with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses

· Proof of medication administration education/competency

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Leadership ability

· Demonstrated ability to participate and function in a Team environment

· Understanding of and commitment to Resident centered care

· Long-term care experience an asset

· Other related certification an asset

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Dispensing of medication

· Treatment of dressing changes

· Communication with physicians and families

· Supervises and directs on-floor Team Members where required

· Problem solving complex situation

· Participate in the ongoing assessment of Resident care needs, monitoring and reporting the condition of all Residents

· Follow established duties and job routines outlined in S&R policies and procedures

· Support the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Sarnia, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
