Remote Support Facilitator

Purpose
The Remote Support Facilitator (RSF) reports to the Program Manager. They are experienced in providing online support typically related to individuals using technology for planning and learning purposes. The Remote Support Facilitator will work with individuals to provide an engaging environment for the participates they work with to meet predetermined outcomes. The conscientious RSF will act with integrity, be open to growth, live our purpose, cultivate teamwork, and put forth an extraordinary effort to empower people with diverse abilities and their families to grow, succeed, and belong.

The candidate must be located in the Edmonton, Alberta area and this is not a remote position.
Key Functions
  • Deliver high quality interactive activities, and learning in an online environment
  • Cultivate and build rapport quickly with all participants to foster engagement in the activities that will meet the objectives of the individual participants

  • Work with the Program Manager regarding the development, coordination, and enhancement of activities.

  • Setting priorities and identifying outcomes for individuals
  • Delivery of established online programs
  • Identify and suggest new program ideas and determine potential fit, and viability with organizational outcomes

Qualifications
  • Minimum education requirement of a High School Diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience; or graduation from an appropriate post-secondary program with a Certificate or Diploma from a College / Technical Institute with 2-3 years related experience; or a University Degree with little or no experience.
  • May consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience using technology as a primary source for program delivery
  • Hands-on experience working with individuals’ with diverse abilities which limit their inclusion in community and/or programs
  • Comfortable on camera and experience working with online collaboration platforms such as Teams
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions.
  • Experience utilizing office applications like Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High level organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
This position is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Program Manager.
Compensation Package: $48,880 - $51,750/year

Hourly Rate:
  • To be eligible for benefits, you must be a full-time employee working a minimum 30 hours per week.
